The Arizona Department of Health Services Maintains National Accreditation

Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) has recently been reaccredited by the Public Health Accreditation Board, maintaining its national accreditation status. This accreditation means that ADHS has met comprehensive national standards in public health practices. As a journalist, it is important to note that reaccreditation is crucial because it ensures that health departments are continuously improving and evolving to better serve their communities.

Jennie Cunico, the Executive Deputy Director of ADHS, expressed pride in the department’s commitment to exceptional standards throughout Arizona. She also highlighted the fact that ADHS is not the only Arizona health department to hold this accreditation. In fact, health departments in Maricopa, Mohave, Pima, and Yavapai counties, as well as the Pascua Yaqui Health Services Division, also meet these high standards.

Holding this accreditation demonstrates a dedication to improving public health practices and providing quality services to the communities they serve. It is clear that ADHS takes its responsibility seriously and is committed to providing the best possible care for its citizens. As a journalist, it is important to recognize and highlight the efforts of organizations like ADHS that are working tirelessly to improve public health outcomes in our communities.
