The fifth round of the 2024 World Cup Downhill series took place over the weekend, and it was nothing short of spectacular. In the Elite Women’s category, Myriam Nicole took first place with a time of 4:16.007, followed closely by Lisa Baumann in second and Gloria Scarsi in third. The Elite Men’s category saw Amaury Pierron claim victory with a time of 3:36.878, just ahead of Finn Iles in second and Loic Bruni in third.
Meanwhile, the Junior Women’s category was dominated by Erice Van Leuven who secured first place with a time of 4:33.924. Ella Svegby finished in second place, while Sacha Mills rounded out the top three. In the Junior Men’s category, Vincent Jouvenal took the lead with a time of 3:49.407, followed by Dane Jewett in second and Oriol Cuadrat Castells in third.
In addition to the exciting racing action, the Pinkbike Fantasy Downhill League is still ongoing. Participants have a chance to win prizes and can enter if they are legal residents of Australia, Canada (except Québec), Germany, United Kingdom or any state within the US that is not DC and are aged 18 years old or older on March 18th until October 6th this year. Winners will receive prizes in their local currency and eligibility requirements and instructions on how to play can be found in the official rules.
