Today marks 15 years since the tragic passing of former NFL quarterback Steve McNair at the young age of 36. While the official explanation for his death was that he had been murdered by his girlfriend, Jenny Kazemi, who then took her own life, many people still feel that there is more to the story.
Steve McNair was a highly talented quarterback who was selected as the third overall pick in the 1995 draft from Alcorn State. He had a successful 13-year career in the NFL, playing for the Oilers, Titans, and Ravens. During his time with the Titans, he led them to a Super Bowl appearance and shared the 2003 MVP award with Peyton Manning.
Throughout his career, McNair amassed over 31,000 passing yards and appeared in 161 regular-season games with 153 starts. He is a revered member of the Titans Ring of Honor, and the team has retired his jersey number, No. 9.
